Located on the Texas coast, Brazoria County is presented each year with threats
of hurricanes and other severe
weather. Brazoria is a rapidly growing county both in population and industry while maintaining the farm and ranch flavor of the old
west.
The Brazoria County ARES group consists of federally licensed ham radio operators who are trained in emergency communications
and have a strong desire to serve their community whenever the need arises. Amateur operators from throughout Brazoria County,
who have an interest in community service and emergency communications,
are strongly encouraged to get involved.
ARESŪ (Amateur Radio Emergency Service) is a field
organization of the ARRL. This site is here to be of service to members of the group as well
as the public.
